Products / Regulatory Filings
EU CATCH, US SIMP, US FSMA, GDST — every market wants its own evidence, in its own form, and a file that comes back costs you days you don't have. SmarTuna checks a batch against the requirements before it's submitted, so you file knowing it's complete rather than hoping it is.
The problem
Most regulatory documentation is assembled after the fact — gathering certificates, cross-checking weights, chasing a supplier for the document nobody noticed was missing, then submitting and waiting to find out whether it's all approved.
The information was almost always available earlier — just scattered across parties, systems and inboxes. SmarTuna works the other way around: the filing is built from evidence you already hold, and checked before it goes anywhere.
Pre-submission validation
The readiness check runs against a batch while it's still being prepared for shipment: every required element, at every stage from catch to export, marked ready, needs attention, or missing. A file is either clear to submit, or comes with a precise, short list of what's outstanding.
Species, catch area and weights reconcile across catch, transshipment, landing, processing and export — so no two documents contradict each other.
Every document the framework requires is present, and the platform knows which party owes the ones that aren’t.
An unbroken chain from the source to the batch, with no missing events in between.
The vessel was cleared to catch it, isn’t on an IUU list, and the establishment is approved for the destination market.
Each open item names the responsible party — so resolving it doesn't mean starting an email thread.

Provided by the processor
An importer discovers a missing certificate when the container is at the port and the clock is ticking.
Working from first-mile data, SmarTuna surfaces the same gap at discharge — weeks earlier, while the product is still moving and the missing item can still be obtained.
One check, every market
SmarTuna checks a batch against the requirements of each market you sell into — so you're not running a separate compliance process per destination, or maintaining the same evidence in three forms.
EU CATCH requirements checked against the same first-mile record, per batch and per destination.
SIMP and FSMA 204 handled from one system — no separate compliance process per market.
Compliance reported as a matrix of key data elements against critical tracking events — compliant, expiring, or not yet met, at any date you choose.
Documentation
Every document sits against the batch, trip or shipment it belongs to — typed and versioned, linked to the events and proof points it supports.
Producing a filing isn't a research project — the evidence is retrieved rather than rebuilt.
